Our family’s legacy in fishing and tackle began in 1970 with the founding of Dwight and Don’s Custom Tackle and the creation of the legendary Carolina Killer lure, and continued with 30 years of building Davidson River Outfitters into a premier fly-fishing destination in the Southeast. Today, alongside my wife Mellissa and our sons David and Andrew, we are launching Trip Saver Tackle to produce the finest custom rods, premium flies and jigs, and revive the iconic Carolina Killer.
